Soaper is built and maintained by Burnished Labs, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. This page explains how to delete your data, or request that we delete it for you.

How to request deletion of your data

To request deletion of the data associated with your Soaper account, email us:

Because the Android app uses an anonymous account (no name, email, or login is collected), we may ask you for information needed to locate the correct account so we delete the right records. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

Delete your data yourself, in the app

  • Delete individual content: Deleting a recipe, saved blend, attachment, or other item in the app removes it from your device and from any associated cloud copy.
  • Uninstall the app: Uninstalling removes all data stored locally on that device.

What data is deleted

On a verified deletion request, we delete the cloud records associated with your account, including:

  • Your anonymous account identifier
  • Trial and subscription status records
  • Saved oil blends synced to your account
  • Photos and documents you attached to recipes, oils, fragrances, colorants, additives, or suppliers (and their metadata)

What data may be kept, and for how long

We may retain a limited set of records where we are required to by law, or to prevent fraud — for example, purchase and transaction records needed for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. These are retained only as long as required by applicable law and are not used for any other purpose. Payment details themselves are never held by us — they are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google Play.
